Beach vs 6-a-side

Beach and 6-a-side use the same types of skill, but use those skills differently. Great beach players don't necessarily make the best indoor players and vice versa.
There is a tendency in the UK to focus exclusively on coaching for 6-a-side play, but increasingly newer and older players want to play outdoors. Although the fundamentals of the game are similar, there are different techniques, tactics and terms on the beach requiring more thought than wham-bamm indoor play. The documents here just explain some of the differences between the two.
