Pass-hitter system (2004)

In aiming to generate an attack with more hitting options with complicating the play too much this year's introduction is a pass-hitter variation on a 6-2 play.
The principles of the pass-hitter system are that with a backcourt setter stacked to the net on serve receive, the hitter in rotation on the right hand side drops back to receive. The middle player always runs middle allowing the right side front court passer to attack around the middle player's run and so is the pass hitter. In theory, this increases the pressure on the defenders middle blocker and either opens up 1 on zero attacks or 1 on 1 on the outside. See the attached document for more details.
